Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara Review

It sounds like a super hero, doesn’t it?  The Mega Multiplier: With its powerful 360° tube technology, it creates a force field of water resistant fibers that wrap around your lashes – Saving your beauty look, one lash at a tiiiiimmmmeeee!

It kind of looks important too.  Its comes in a more oval tube rather than round; the cap is a strong, vibrant teal colour; and its name is emblazened on the front with a clean and simple, solid, white print.

BH Cosmetics’ Modern Matte Eyeshadow Palette Swatches & Review

In my very humble opinion, I think that if you love creating make up looks, its important to have a few varying colors of matte shades to work with.  I’ve been in serious need of matte shadows, but finding a decent matte at a decent cost is no small task.  And lately, my funds are limited.

Luckily, the world has BH Cosmetics to come to the rescue!  A company that I love simply because it allows a broke girl like me to indulge in my beauty addiction.

*New* NeoStrata Anti-Aging Peel Solution

The latest at home, facial peel system has just showed up at my local drugstore.  It claims to be a one-step professional grade peel that’s safe enough for home use.  It boasts the ability to give you the look of younger skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles; promoting skin elasticity and firmness; tightening and minimizing pores; smoothing skin texture; and encouraging skin absorption.  I decided to get a sample so I could give you some initial impressions.

I think its hard to give a fair and accurate review of the benefits of a skincare product after only one use, but this is a face peel, so it should have more dramatic results than other types of skincare products – and, at the very least I can give my initial impression and if I think it might be worth it or not.

Milani Cosmetics Review

In my city, we have one drugstore that sells a very limited amount of Milani Cosmetics, so when I get a chance to go to the U.S., I make sure I swing by the local Walmart where they usually sell a few more items.

Vasanti’s Tinseltown Eye Colour Palette

paletteb

So, I finally got around to snagging a palette from Rexall pharmacy, a couple of weeks back.  I’ve seen this line around, but hadn’t gotten a chance to try it out.  As soon as I sampled the 2nd Shade – which is named only as “Nude Brown Sparkle” – I wanted to know what it looked like on.  The really frustrating thing is that the company has decided to move on, which means you can only find this palette on Amazon for a limited time.

Maybeline Dream Velvet Foundation

Heads Up:

First thing I want to say is that I just found out that Maybelline is part of the L’Oreal brand, which is owned by Nestle.  I had purchased these products before knowing this.  I’m pretty disappointed, because I did like their products, but I’m currently boycotting Nestle due to unethical actions regarding water supplies.

As a devil’s advocate, I will say that they are not the only corporation that pumps large amounts of water, but they seem to be the worst offender involving their water collection, fair payment for the amount they take, and the impact they are having on communities.  Nestlé’s Chairman once infamously declared that “access to water should not be a public right.”

Water should not be considered a commodity, and governments should be taking a more active role in preventing corporations from taking advantage.  As tax payers, we should not be paying more for our water consumption than a company – which pays ridiculously low costs for our water and sells it back to us at ridiculously high prices.

Since not everybody will care about the Nestle business practices, I’m going to review the product without bias, however, if you want to be a more informed consumer, its easy to find information on Nestle’s unethical behavior involving water.
