This palette has 12 rich shades that resemble the colours of a sunset. Ten of the shadows are shimmers that range from a deeper gold to a burgundy red, and also a vibrant blue shade . Also, the palette includes a matte, charcoal black to balance out the shimmer.
*I’m sorry for the lack of sheen that shows up on camera. My camera is just plain sad. 😦
These shadows finish like many of “foil” shadows that are on the market. They take a bit of work to build up the colours, and they do have a tendency to get a little bit clumpy, so its important to play around and get an idea of how much you should use for your look.
My favourite shades are the deep red, orange and gold. I find that the four rosy tones are very similar. The blue is beautiful, but I don’t think either it – or the black – blends well with the other shimmer shades.
I don’t usually combine the shades in this palette. If I dip into the shadows, its usually to use a shade as a definer or to colour the lid. I find that the shimmers can get too overwhelming if not balanced with a more earthy transition shade.
In my humble opinion, I think these colours would be beautiful on a darker skin tone, or used in a more sun-kissed look.
