|First Response:||The Mint Julep Mask is a cult favorite by many beauty consumers.
As soon as you open the lid, you can smell the spearmint in the mix. It smells like toothpaste and the aroma immediately brings to mind “clean” and “fresh”. The clay is very thick and a bit on the harder side, but as it warms on your skin it becomes a lot easier to spread.
Once its on the skin, it dries fairly quickly and it does feel like its very absorbing on any oily skin.
|Lasting Impression:||This product, like most face masks, is not something you would want to use daily. It’s designed to work with oily skin, so it tends to make the skin feel drier. A moisturizer would be important to use after this product.
I found that I didn’t like to use this mask as a full face mask, but more as an overnight spot treatment. When a pimple popped up, I used a small dab to cover it – similiar to when you use to use toothpaste to dry out a pimple. The clay stays on pretty good throughout the night and by the next morning the pimple seems to be significantly smaller.
I like this product. I think the small 3 oz container will last me a super long time, but I would probably purchase this again. I am definitely curious about the other products that the brand has.
